| Women of the South hosts two fundraisers during our membership year. Each September, we organize the Women of the South Benefit Golf Classic. This year’s tournament is scheduled for Monday, September 20, 2004, at Willow Creek Golf and Country Club, 6501 S. Country Club Drive. The format is a four-player scramble. The funds raised from this event are designated for java разработчик с нуля our scholarships and grants program. Participants of the event not only have a great time playing golf, they enjoy the food, prizes, and games organized by our dedicated Golf Committee. Women of the South’s major fundraiser is the Annual Southern Gala held each Spring. This event is the highlight of our entire year. This year’s Gala will be held April 23, 2005, at the National Cowboy and Western Heritage Center. The black-tie affair includes a delicious dinner, wonderful entertainment, and a live and silent auction. Last year’s gala enabled us to provide seven full-ride scholarships to women who are primary providers of their households. In addition, we offered twenty $1,000 to high school senior women and two “extension” scholarships to women who have completed their associate’s degree and will now pursue their bachelor degree.
